Suffolk Police have issued an e-fit of a person they want to trace in relation to an incident in Eye last Tuesday, October 8, where a girl was scratched in the face.
The incident happened in Ash Drive at approximately 9am as she was walking along a footpath from Ash Drive to Wellington Road. She heard a male voice from behind ask if she wanted a lift. She said ‘no thanks’ but the man shouted verbal abuse, grabbed her arm and scratched her across the face causing a small mark, before she ran off.
The offender is described as a white man and appeared to be of Eastern European appearance, approximately 5’8” tall, had dark coloured hair, facial stubble, was of a stocky build and wearing a navy coloured tracksuit top, jogging bottoms and trainers.

Police are also warning residents to remain vigilant after a series of burglaries in Mid Suffolk last Thursday between 9am and 2pm, including at Walsham Road, Finningham, where jewellery and cash were stolen; in Finningham Road, Westhorpe, where offenders broke in, made an untidy search but nothing appears to be stolen; and in Norwich Road, Little Stonham, where cash was taken.
A transit type white van with blue lettering including ‘J’ and ‘C’ was seen in the area around the time and police are keen to trace the owner or driver. Anyone with information regarding these incidents should call Bury Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
