Police are appealing for information after offenders attempted to steal a tractor in Great Ellingham.

Police believe the incident took place between 4pm on Friday, January 24 and 6am on Monday, January 27 at a property in Bush Green.

Offenders took a Ford 5000 tractor from inside a barn and drove it across a field, becoming stuck half way.

The offenders then went back to the yard and took a forklift along with some chains and lorry straps.

They returned to the tractor, towing it to the other side of the field where it was ultimately abandoned.

The forklift was then driven across to another gateway where it was also abandoned.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact PC Cherie Smith at Thetford Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
