Planning permission for two new homes off Rose Lane in Diss should be refused because it would mean an ‘overdevelopment’ of the site, according to the town council.
The proposed site forms part of an area used by the Willow Tree Cars business.
Diss Town Council said it would not be right to add to the ten homes already in the area using the private road. But Norfolk County Council’s highways department has commented that the whole site is owned by the applicant and therefore it is assumed he will have road maintenance responsibility.
The plans are yet to be heard by South Norfolk Council.
