PICTURE GALLERY: Red Nose Day events across south Norfolk and north Suffolk
Dressing up in red, baking cakes and holding a sponsored silence were just a few of the ways schools and businesses across south Norfolk and north Suffolk raised cash for Red Nose Day today.
At Bressingham Primary School, teaching assistants Christine Segovia and Jackie Fisher rode a tandem outside the school for donations while at Harleston Primary School pupils played carnival games and took part in a sponsored silence, while wearing non-uniform clothes.
Over in Stradbroke at the primary school pupils dressed in red and sold cakes they had made for the cause and at the Spar shop in the village, staff wore their bras over the top of their red clothes.
Money raised through Red Nose Day events will be spent in the UK to give shelter to young people living on the streets and protection to those living with domestic abuse as well as in Africa, where it will save thousands of people from malaria and provide whole communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines.
