Occold pub boosts globe cyclist’s charity choice

Occold, Suffolk. Richard Dunnett who cycled around the world for Make A Wish receives two cheques from Steve Gilbert (Adnams), Charles Appleton (Owner Beaconsfield Arms) and Barry Chevaller Guild (Aspall)

Money raised for the Make-A-Wish foundation from the party thrown to herald a young man from Occold cycling around the world was presented to the charity in the form of several cheques on Tuesday morning.

Richard Dunnett’s local pub The Beaconsfield Arms raised more than £900.

The total was supplemented by help from Adnams and Aspall, represented on Tuesday at the pub owned by Charles Appleton (pictured centre) by Steve Gilbert (pictured left) and Barry Chevallier-Guild respectively (pictured right).
