North Suffolk cider firm to be celebrated in comedian’s upcoming ITV show
North Suffolk-based cider producer Aspall is to feature in the latest episode of an ITV show this Friday.
Ade in Britain sees actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson travelling around the country to celebrate everything that is great about Britain.
With his mobile kitchen in tow, Edmondson learns all about the food, drink and rich heritage that makes each area so distinct - such as the traditional craft of ‘cyder-making’ at Aspall.
Henry Chevallier-Guild, an Aspall partner who features in the programme, said: “We were delighted to be approached to take part in the new series of Ade in Britain.
“The Chevalliers have been making cider, vinegar and apple juice at the same site in Debenham for 285 years, and it was a pleasure to welcome Ade on site and share our passion with him.
“We took Ade through the production process of our ciders: from watching the apples being picked, to grading them by eye, before they are pressed, fermented and then blended.”
Aspall is the UK’s oldest independently-owned cider producer, and the last remaining English family-owned vinegar brewer.
The programme is on ITV1 at 4pm.
