The former leader of Norfolk County Council has announced he will not be standing for election in May in the Forehoe division, which includes the villages of Flordon, Newton Flotman and part of Wymondham.

The South Norfolk Conservative Association is now looking for a suitable replacement, following Derrick Murphy’s decision not to stand after the scrutiny surrounding a standards committee hearing into his conduct in office.
