A new vintage tea room in the Diss ‘Heritage Triangle’ is to open for business tomorrow, following its successful planning application to South Norfolk Council.
Development began immediately after planning permission was approved on Fairchild’s, an early 1900s-style cafe at the former premises of Toy Box Toys in St Nicholas Street,
Justine Staines, staff member and co-owner of the Rags, Bows and Curios shop opposite, said: “It’s an old-fashioned meet, greet, seat and serve. We want people to come in, relax and let us spoil them.”
The cafe will offer around 30 loose leaf teas, as well as cakes and scones. Its official opening is at 11am and service will continue until 5pm.
