New sports equipment for Diss Youth Club
A new table tennis table along with bats and balls have been presented to Diss Youth Club.
Keith Day, the president of Diss Rotary Club and with new generations committee chairman Norma Howell, presented the new equipment to youngsters at Diss Youth and Community Centre on Wednesday evening.
The equipment was bought using a Sport England Grant, applied for by the Rotary Club.
The intention is to excite young people’s interest in sport and to get them involved in more exercise as part of the legacy from the 2012 Olympics.
Youth club organisers and members of Diss Town Council were also present.
