Diss has its new mayor.
Keith Kiddie was installed last night during the full meeting of Diss Town Council.
He was the previous year’s deputy mayor and steps up to the role vacated by Neil Howard.
Howard Rackham, who was previously the mayor 20 years ago in 1994, was voted in as Mr Kiddie’s deputy.
Mr Kiddie told the town council last night: “I give you my undertaking to work tirelessly in the service of Diss and its people for this year.
“I am acutely aware of the responsibility placed upon me and I endeavour to discharge it fully.”
Mr Rackham said: “I thank councillors for your confidence in me. It was 20 years since I was mayor, when Diss Town won the FA Vase cup. Keith and I will work together to do our best for this town of ours.”
