The Gig in the Garden music festival totted up more than £10,000 for children’s charity Action Medical Research on the weekend of July 12.
Hundreds were undeterred by the stormy weather as they made the trip to Wicks Farm in Mendlesham, where the likes of Queen tribute act The Bohemians and local group Polar Collective treated the crowds to headline performances.
Lucy Hynes, community fundraising manager for Action Medical Research, said: “The atmosphere at Gig in the Garden this year was electric!
“The weekend concluded with a large crowd dancing and singing their hearts out. We can’t wait till next year.”
A large contingent of local artists took to the stage, including Horse Party, Elephant in the Room, Chasing Storms, Lost Lungs, Pinhead and The Fern Tether Band.
According to the charity, the money raised will be used to fund research on serious conditions affecting children.
