An Essex man who was declared missing has been reunited with his family in time for Christmas after being found in Diss.
Cornelius Sullivan, of Romford, was last seen on December 9 but was discovered in his van in the town by an off duty police officer on Monday.
The 49-year-old’s bank records had shown that a transaction was made at a Tesco store in Diss on December 11.
A Facebook group set up in a bid to find Mr Sullivan, who was also known as Con, revealed he had been found safe and well.
“ We have found Con,” it said. “The police phoned us at 1.40am and said that an off duty officer found him in his van.
“Finding Con is the best Christmas present ever and all of our prayers have been answered.”
