A Harleston Primary School teacher will be making his Virgin Money London Marathon debut this year as he hopes to raise funds for the Outward Bound Trust.
Tom Anstiss, PE co-ordinator at the school, is hoping to raise £1,720.
“Training is going really well,” he said. “I recently did a 30km race and managed to do it in 2 hours 26 minutes, so it is looking good at the moment. I am feeling positive.”
The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity which aims to unlock the potential in young people through discovery and adventure in the wild. Mr Anstiss, who will take to the start line on April 13 added: “To be raising money for children across the country makes in special.
“The support I have had from parents, teachers and children has been brilliant. They have motivated me to do it.”
