Easter-themed fun in Diss Market Place tomorrow morning will have a serious point.
In association with the Farmers’ Market, Diss High School students will entertain shoppers and families with street entertainment, chocolate give-aways, free face-painting, food sampling from local shops and a prize draw to win a hamper, from 9am-noon.
The purpose is to draw attention to the choice of independent shops in the town.
High school student Sarah Chambers said:”It is important local residents support local traders. Use it or lose it is our motto. We were surprised and delighted to find the rich choice of shops in Diss and we want to make sure the town has a future by getting the message across to our peer group and others.”
