Lion’s charity walk in Harleston returns
Harleston Lions Club will be holding its annual sponsored walk on May 26 in aid of Parkinson’s UK Research and are calling for walkers to join them.
Held at the usual location of the Gawdy Hall Estate, the route will be about eight miles long although there will be short cuts for those who wish to do less, and everyone is welcome to take part, even well behaved dogs on leads.
Bottled water will be provided throughout the walksponsored by Budgens in Harleston, as well as snacks to keep energy levels up, supplied by Kitchen Sense of Harleston.
When the walk finishes, walkers are invited to relax in the private walled gardens of the estate and bring a picnic lunch.
The walk will start at 10am but walkers must arrive at least 20 minutes before to check in. The walk should take between three to four hours to complete depending on the weather and walkers are asked to use the East Lodge entrance off Church Lane, Redenhall.
The minimum entry fee for joining the walk is £5, although each entrant is asked to collect as much sponsorship money as possible.
Entry and sponsorship forms are available from Val Tolhurst at Kitchen Sense, 62 London Road, Harleston, or by calling 01379 852592.
