A jumble sale held at Shelfanger Village Hall on Saturday raised £584.20 in aid of a turtle conservation programme in Costa Rica.
Bex White of Bressingham organised the sale to help her reach her £2,500 target, which will pay for her to embark on an eight-week volunteering programme in San Jose on May 6, where she will be assisting biologists with the study and protection of native sea turtles.
Miss White, who has also been working at Old Buckenham Stud to raise the cash, said: “It was very well supported and I would just like to thank everyone that made it so successful on the day and everyone who donated.”
