An Archbishop Sancroft High School pupil hopes to meet the challenge of tackling youth unemployment should he be successful in the upcoming Norfolk Youth Parliament elections.

Jack Allison, a Year 10 pupil at the school, will be running for South Norfolk when voting opens on Monday.

“I am a current candidate for a Norfolk Member or Youth Parliament and, if successful, will be representing South Norfolk as my constituency!, he said.

“If this occurs and I am elected as a political representative, youth unemployment would be my uppermost priority.

“Therefore, I would work diligently to resolve this matter as it is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed in the surrounding areas and I am determined to meet this challenge.”

Assistant head teacher at Archbishop Sancroft High School, Rob Connelly, added: “Jack is also a Young Commissioner for the South Norfolk Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and a very active member of the school council . We are in full support of his campaign.”

You can vote in the Norfolk Youth Parliament Elections via a free text message. Only one vote will count, and voting closes on Friday, March 16.
