Families, businesses, shoppers and visitors joined in the fun as Harleston went cuckoo for Easter.

People took to the streets to watch the Easter Bonnet Parade, complete with two Easter bunnies, the Harleston Town Crier and an impromptu band.

More than 30 children and adults proudly demonstrated their special hats as they paraded from Budgens’ car park through the town to St John’s church for judging.

There Rev. Nigel Tuffnell, assisted by Carol Parker and Caryl Challis, awarded Easter egg prizes, made by The Pod, for the most creative, most colourful and best use of recycling. There was also a prize for the best-hatted family.

Shops also took part in a Easter-themed window display competition.
