More than £400 was raised for Thelveton Church funds at the weekend as the joint Flower Festival and Family Fun Days proved popular with its visitors.

With around 150 attendees between Friday and Sunday, the Flower Festival was themed on ‘memories’, with participants creating flower arrangements to represent recollections of places they had visited and in one case, the memories of their childhood during the First World War.

The Fun Days featured large-scale games and activities in the churchyard, as well as a crafts stall that was a hit amongst the children.

The event has been held every other year for the past eight years.
