Global peace honour for octet

Eight south Norfolk teenagers have been trained as peace ambassadors as part of an international programme.

Fran Cox, Alex Scott, Tom Bacon, Shanice Homer, Harvey Miller, Ben Schofield, Iain Symon and Izzy Sieveking received certificates at a celebration assembly at their school, Archbishop Sancroft High School, Harleston, just before Christmas.

Harleston Rotary Club members have trained the youngsters to become ambassadors for PeaceJam, which works to increase young people’s awareness of global issues around violence, racism, war and peace, and develops their conflict resolution skills.
