Adventurous pupils from Gislingham Primary School experienced a slice of city life last month as they took a trip to various sights and landmarks of London.

Around 40 youngsters, accompanied by members of staff, made the early morning coach journey to the capital city, where they began the day with a ride on the London Eye before venturing along a sightseeing tour of Whitehall, Downing Street, Parliament Square, the Horse Guards Parade, Buckingham Palace and the Museum of Natural History.

Julie Welham, assistant headteacher at the school, said: “Trips like this are important to give our children a broad education and to experience our capital city.

“The children enjoyed the day hugely and will remember it for a long time.”

Pupil Logan Jaynes, discussing the trip, wrote: “My favourite part was the London Eye. I went to bed dreaming about my day.”
