Get discounts on security products to improve security of your home

After recent home burglaries in more rural areas of the Waveney Valley, Safer Neighbourhood Teams in the area have teamed up with several local retailers of security products to offer discounts on items to help make properties more secure.

You can pick up a sheet of the vouchers from Beccles or Halesworth police stations during normal opening hours tomorrow.

The aim is to encourage more residents to think about home security.

PCSO Julia Quantrill, who liaised with local businesses to get the discounts, said: “Reducing the number of home burglaries and encouraging those living in towns and villages in Waveney to increase security is currently a priority for local safer neighbourhood teams, and we are doing a number of things around this, including targeted patrols and work to catch the criminals involved.

“We would like to thank Coopers, Mumfords Hardware of Southwold, Broadland Security Alarms, ECO Electrical Contractors, and Anglia Electrical & Security Ltd for supporting this initiative by kindly agreeing to offer discounts on selected security products. We hope people will take advantage of the offers to both support local businesses and protect their property from burglars.”
