Two women had good reasons to enjoy the feel-good factor after running an amazing 40 miles.
Tracey Davies and friend Anne Beckett-Allen both celebrated their 40th birthdays this year, and so chose a 40-mile route along the Norfolk coast for a fundraiser with a special purpose.
Tracey is the owner of The Park Hotel in Diss and among her friends is Linda Biggs whose 20-year-old son Matthew is wheelchair bound.
He communicates using a computer, but this cannot be used when he goes out.
But now Tracey and Anne have helped him open up his world, as the funds they raised from their run brought in £1,566 to buy a bracket for the computer to attach to his wheelchair when Matthew goes out, sometimes joining mum at the Park Hotel.
“It was just something nice for him,” said Tracey who said that she and Anne had taken eight-and-a-half hours to complete the run.
“It was also nice to achieve this as I had only previously run a marathon distance.”
