Friends, staff and families of tenants at Diss’ Norse Care’s Weaver’s Court Housing with Care scheme have put on their walking boots to raise money for charity.

Last Friday, dozens embarked on a five-mile walk around Diss, Burston and Roydon. Money raised will go to the care home’s amenity fund, and Great Ormond Street Hospital. The charity was chosen by tenant Ruby, whose granddaughter has been helped by the hospital. Manager Chris Mark said: “All the activities we do here we have to raise money for - we don’t get any funding. Raising money and involving people is good because we want to get people to join in. They don’t have to live here to join our activities.”
