A festive charity initiative organised by Diss technology distributor Midwich has helped to raise over £14,500 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The Midwich ‘Jingle Balls’ raffle, which included a bumper prize pot of 100 prizes, raised £6,500 towards the final amount donated to the charity, with top prizes drawn by the Mayor of Diss, Neil Howard, who said: “This is a magnificent fundraising effort by Midwich. The EAAA is a valuable service to our rural communities and I am thrilled to lend my support.”
With a few contributions pending, the £14,500 cheque was presented to EAAA representative Sophie Emmanuel (second from right) by (from left) Midwich’s Carla Shipp, Stephen Fenby and Keelia Charlebois.
Alex Ward at Midwich, said the amount raised would not have been possible without the generosity of the public in buying tickets for the raffle.
