Firefighters called to flooding incidents across south Norfolk caused by rain and melting snow
Firefighters were called to a number of flooding incidents across south Norfolk yesterday caused by heavy rain and thawing snow.
A fire crew from Harleston was called to Glamis Court in Harleston at 8.44am to reports of flooding. The crew pumped water away from the properties.
An hour later, an appliance from Diss was called to Winfarthing Road in Shelfanger to assist with flooding. The crew used a submersible pump to remove the water.
In Forncett St Mary, a fire crew from Long Stratton were called to reports of flooding in Low Road at about 9.50am. They used their major pump to remove the water.
And in Old Buckenham, a fire crew was called to a home in Ragmere Road to assist with the removal of water. The crew, which were called at 10.18am, used a light portable pump, submersible pump, major pump and main jets to remove the water from the affected area.
Pictured above is a photo sent in by Rachael Tillson, who took the photo while walking in Aslacton yesterday afternoon. She said the ford was flooded and the water moving at a considerable speed.
