A horse had to be rescued from a water-filled dyke in North Lopham yesterday evening

A fire crew from East Harling, and a rescue boat from Carrow were on the scene for around three hours. The horse was said to be “distressed.”

A vet was present, with the horse being left in the care of the owner.
