A fire broke out a south Norfolk care home this morning.
Four fire crews were called to Westward Farm, in School Lane, Besthorpe, at 5.05am, to tackle a fire in the boiler room.
There were no serious injuries, but someone was assessed at the scene by an ambulance crew.
Simon Blake, executive director of Westward Care Homes Ltd, which runs the site said: “There was a small fire in the boiler room and everyone was evacuated as per our procedure.”
He said the care home caters for 19 adults with learning disabilities. The cause of the fire was likely to have been an electrical fault.
A back up power supply was used and Mr Blake said the care home was operating normally.
Fire crews were at the scene for about 30 minutes.
