A family has paid tribute to a “lovely, kind and generous” man who died after being struck by a van in Barningham last week.

Pedestrian Paul Bruce, 56, of Barningham, was struck by a Vauxhall Van on the B1111 near the junction with Chare Road on March 12.

He died at the scene.

The road was closed off whilst the incident was dealt with and officers commenced a collision investigation.

A statement on behalf of the family read: “We are deeply shocked by Paul’s death.

“He was a lovely, kind, generous man and will be sadly missed by his parents Chris and Roy and brothers John, Tim and Kevin and step daughters Tracey and Vicky, and step son Mark.”

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Dean Webb at the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101
