Exploring space and sailing with pirates
Kenninghall, Norfolk. Class of the Week - Kenninghall Primary School - Robins Class
The new reception children at Kenninghall Primary School (above) have been all at sea and up in the air as they have settled into school life.
Teacher Sally Rigby, who shares the job of teaching the ‘Robins’ class with Laura Stimpson, said topics so far covered had included Pirates, Space Explorers and What Makes Us Special. “We’re investigating how the moon was formed by dropping different objects into flour to see what crater shapes emerge, and we have also been seeing how ships float.”
The children also enjoyed taking part in the school’s Christmas Nativity play as stars, animals and angels. The two teachers are helped by teaching assistant Debbie Horsley
