A dedicated weight-loss consultant from Diss earned top recognition for her services to the community at a national slimming organisation’s awards ceremony in June.
Jane Aldous, the manager at the Diss Slimming World club, received two Gold Awards, an accolade presented to group leaders who achieve the highest level of support and commitment to their members, at the event in Birmingham, just two months after being awarded with the title of Gold Consultant.
Jane, who has worked at the club for five years, said: “I love my job, I’m passionate about helping people to change their lives by losing weight and seeing them succeed is reward enough so being given this recognition really is the icing on the cake.
“It’s not just a triumph for me though. This award belongs to my members too. They make the groups fun and friendly places to be and I can safely say I always look forward to going to work. I truly believe I have the best job in the world.”
This news serves as yet another boost to the club, after 18-year-old member Ellie Moore from Roydon reached the finals of Slimming World’s nationwide youth weight loss competition in May.
The Diss club meets on Tuesday evenings at the infant school on Fitzwalter Road and Thursday mornings at the Youth Centre in Shelfanger Road. To learn more, call Jane on 01379 650671.
