Ruth Harris-Orford and Carole Wain, who both shaved their hair off for charity, have presented cheques to the three charities that they were raising money for.

The two Morrisons workers were alongside Morrisons general manager Peter Morley as they handed out the cheques to the Alzheimer’s Society, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and the Sue Ryder Foundation.

Each charity received a cheque of £722 after the pair raised £2,166 from the shave.

More than 75 people came to watch as they beat their target of raising £1,500.

The girls and the three charities thanked their family, friends and the staff and customers of Morrisons for the kind generosity in helping raise the money.
