Diss man cleared of careless driving charge after crash which claimed life of 16-year-old Andrew Oakley

A Diss man has been found not guilty of causing death by careless driving following a collision which cost the life of a 16-year-old boy.

Jason Shaw, 28, of Shelfanger Road, was cleared by a jury following a trial at Norwich Crown Court, which was heard over six days and concluded on Tuesday.

Andrew Oakley, of Diss, died in the collision between a tipper truck and a Renault Kangoo van on the B1077 at Winfarthing on December 29, 2012. Andrew was a passenger in the Renault.
