A director of a family-run business has told of his ‘devastation’ after a number of burglaries at commercial premises in Snetterton.
The incidents took place between 11pm Wednesday, July 9 and 1am on Thursday, July 10 at two industrial estates in Harling Road.
In total seven businesses were broken into and a number of items were stolen including a white Volkswagen Crafter van from one premises, which was then used to steal five mobility scooters from another unit, South Norfolk Mobility Centre.
Models of scooter taken include Cadiz, Kymco, TGA Breeze, a TGA Breeze 3 and a three-wheel TGA scooter.
Director Michael Lockwood told the Diss Express lots of damage had been done to the premises, including external and internal doors, filing cabinets ripped open, while an Acer laptop and CCTV recorder was also stolen.
“We were devastated, and so are many others on the estate,” he said.
The store is still open for business, Mr Lockwood confirmed.
Also stolen from the targeted premises were two DeVilbiss spray guns and £100 in cash.
It is believed the offenders gained entry to the site across a field after parking a car in Heath Road.
