Residents in Eye have raised £1,400 in aid of the Philippines disaster by holding a dinner in the town.

Hosted at the Vine Church in Eye, the premises given free of charge, 45 people paid £20 for a three-course meal.

Funds were also raised through donations and a raffle, while The Chocolaterie also sponsored and provided hand-made petit fours at the dinner.

All of the money raised went to appeal, via The Save the Children Fund.
