Designer bag stolen from car parked on East Harling Heath
Police are appealing for witnesses to a theft from a car parked on East Harling Heath.
The incident happened between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on January 12, when a dark blue Mercedes 4x4 was parked on Fire Ride 79.
The owners left the locked vehicle and took their dog for a walk.
Upon their return they discovered a rear window had been smashed and a Mulberry shoulder bag had been stolen.
PC Cherie Smith, from Thetford Safer Neighbourhood Team, who is the investigating the incident, said: “These kinds of areas are known to be commonly used by dog walkers and sadly can be seen as an easy target by thieves. As these are remote spots, our advice would be to not leave any valuables in your vehicles on show or hidden. Ideally always taken them with you but if you have no alternative then leave them in your vehicle secure and out of sight.”
Anyone with information should call PC Smith on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
