Council tax rise for Diss
Diss, Norfolk. New Diss Town Mayor Graham Minshull
Diss Town council has increased its portion of the council tax bill, the precept, for the next year.
Councillors voted to increase it by two per cent at a meeting on Wednesday evening. This equates to an increase of £2.70 a year on the council tax bill of a Band D household. Diss mayor Graham Minshull, pictured, said: “Despite the recession we continue to provide good quality services.” Meanwhile, Harleston town councillors voted for a tax freeze.
