The sound of swing is as popular today as it has ever been – whether it’s the classic sounds of yesteryear from legendary crooners, band leaders and musicians such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Glenn Miller and Louis Armstrong, or more recent singers such as Harry Connick Jr or Michael Bublé.

Even more modern-day singers such as Rod Stewart, Christina Aguilera and Robbie Williams have got in on the act too by dipping into the Great American Songbook.

Now Diss Express readers are in with a chance of winning tickets to enjoy an evening of the best of the genre with a contemporary twist as the Kings of Swing orchestra performs at Norwich Theatre Royal on Sunday, June 22, at 7.30pm.

Kings of Swing features some of the top vocalists performing in Europe, and its current tour celebrates the orchestra’s 10th anniversary. It was formed as a headline act in 2003 in the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom and was an instant hit.

The Diss Express has teamed up with Norwich Theatre Royal to offer two pairs of tickets to see the show. To be in with a chance of winning, simply answer the following easy question:- In which year was the Kings of Swing orchestra formed?

Write your answer on a postcard with your name address and telephone contact details and post it to Diss Express Kings of Swing Competition, Norfolk & Suffolk House, Mere Street, Diss, Norfolk IP22 4AE, to arrive no later than Friday, June 6.

The usual Diss Express competition rules apply and the Editor’s decision is final. The prize tickets are for the performance on Sunday, June 22 at 7.30pm and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative or tickets for another show.

Tickets for the show cost £5.50-£19.50 from on 01603 630000 or online at www.theatreroyalnorwich.co.uk.
