Charity urges residents to take part in bobble day
Age UK Norfolk is calling on south Norfolk residents to take part in Bobble Day this Friday.
Bobble Day is a national Age UK event designed to raise awareness of the many preventable deaths caused by the cold among people in later life.
Age UK Norfolk is asking people to show their support by wearing a bobble hat, holding a fundraising event or just considering making a donation to support the work of Age UK Norfolk, helping vulnerable older people keep warm and well over the winter period.
This year, staff and pupils at New Eccles Hall School in Quidenham are dressing up in their favourite woolly knits for the day to raise money.
Local businesses can get involved too by requesting a box of bobbles to sell to their customers.
For more information or to request bobbles or a free fundraising pack, please call Pat Brickley on 01603 785255 or visit www.ageuknorfolk.org.uk
