An appeal has gone out from the chairman of the Mid Suffolk Tenants’ Forum for new members to help stand up for tenants’ rights.
Keith Wykes, a council house tenant in Fressingfield, has said that the group has recently suffered from resignations and is in urgent need of more help.
The group, recognised and financed by Mid Suffolk District Council, is a mouthpiece for the views of all tenants’ but also helps provide information and support for tenants. It has recently played an important consultative role in Mid Suffolk District Council’s proposals to increase rents.
Their next meeting is Thursday, February 27, at the district council offices in Needham Market, with a 6.30pm start, where they will be discussing tenants’ issues.
Those interested in helping, in whatever capacity, can call Mr Wykes on 01379 586381.
