Burglaries in Barningham and Wortham prompts police appeal

Police are appealing for information following burglaries in Wortham and Barningham.

Two spare car keys and £50 was taken from a property in Low Road, Wortham, on Thursday, July 10.

The incident occurred between 11.30am and 1pm, with entry gained after glass in the back door was smashed.

In Barningham a brick was thrown through the rear window of a house in Bardwell Road between 10am and 1.45pm, also on Thursday, July 10. £90 of cash was stolen from inside.

Burglaries also took place on the same day further afield in Stanningfield, Great Cornard and Sproughton, say police.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in any of these villages, or who has information about any of these burglaries, is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 quoting reference BR/14/487, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
