A controlled explosion is expected to have happened in Stowmarket tonight as part of an investigation following the discovery of weapons in a Wyverstone home last week.
A spokesperson from Suffolk Police said the small controlled explosion was expected to have happened at around 6pm.
A number of items have been removed from the property and taken to Stowmarket police station. In order to ensure the items are disposed of safely the bomb disposal squad have been called by police to carry out a controlled explosion.
A cordon is also still in place at the Wyverstone property and officers remain on scene.
