It is was a boy’s dream made reality.
On Wednesday night, Oliver Pearson-Smith helped lead out Manchester United and Olympiakos in their crunch Champions League game.
The fact that United stuffed the Greek team 3-0 to progress to the next round made the night even better.
Oliver,9, from Braiseworth, near Eye, and a Mellis Primary School pupil, was entered into the Mastercard Priceless Mascot Experience competition, and to his delight, he won.
He stepped on to the hallowed Old Trafford turf in front of 75,000 people opposite favourite player Danny Welbeck.
Oliver also got to have a tour of the stadium and museum, was provided with a full kit, saw the players’ changing rooms and watched the match with mum Helen.
