BMX halfpipe 1998 world champion Mike Mullen was at All Saints Primary School in Laxfield on Tuesday as part of the Be The Best You Can Be 2012 London Olympics Games legacy.
Mullen talked to pupils about how he overcame childhood shyness to became the best in the world at his beloved sport.
He also showed some of his tricks, including a BMX jump over headteacher David Dee and teacher Janet Tubby (pictured).
Mr Dee, said: “It is great to have someone who has been the best helping to inspire young people to achieve, and not just in sport either.”
Mullen, who visits schools across East Anglia as part of the scheme, said: “It is fantastic to show children that they can follow their dreams, and overcome obstacles.”
