Bidders from far and wide flocked to TW Gaze Auction Rooms on Monday to the annual Christmas poultry sale.
The long-running tradition, organised this year by Daniel Woods and Jenna Goodall, saw 280 birds, including ducks, geese, turkeys and chickens, go under the hammer.
Mr Woods said: “It was very good. It was a packed sale room.
“It is always a popular sale in the year with people coming far and wide to get a range of birds.
“There were lots of people just to have a look or soak up the atmosphere. It is a very sociable event. It is a slower pace sale than the others we have.”
The birds were judged by Ken Clabburn of Attleborough, with people travelling as far as Brighton to attend the sale.
Mr Woods added that almost 200 people attended the event.
This year’s supreme champion went to Mr Blackmore of Huntingfield, for a 10lb oven-ready goose, which sold for £50.
