Herr Flick of ‘Allo ‘Allo, a Spitfire flypast and a performance by the Norwich Early Dance Group will be among the attractions on Sunday in Diss to mark the centenary of the start of the First World War.
Diss Museum has put together an afternoon of activity called Over the Top, with funding from a dozen different sources, starting at 2pm in Market Place. The dancers start at 2pm, while from 2.30pm drama groups will recreate a recruiting tent with Tommies taking their medical.
At 3pm Richard Gibson, who played Herr Flick, gives a reading of The Bowmen, a First World War legend. Period teas will be served on the Church lawn and the Family History Society will offer advice on family research.
