Tenants and leaseholders of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are to have the chance to rate the services their landlords offer through a survey.

A Survey of Tenants and Residents (STAR) will be sent to around 7,000 properties in the district. The deadline to complete the questionnaire is February 24.

Residents who return surveys will be entered into a prize draw to win one of four £50 shopping vouchers.

Martin King, head of housing for Babergh and Mid Suffolk said: “We are about to undertake the first joint satisfaction survey of all our tenants and leaseholders since the integration of our services took place.

“This will give us a very detailed insight into the views and opinions of the people who rely on our services, helping us make improvements in the areas that matter to our tenants and leaseholders.

“We have organised two half-day workshops in April and early May with our staff and also representatives from our Tenants’ Forums, so we can work together on any making plans for improvement.”

The surveys can be completed and returned in the freepost envolope provided, or online at www.babergh.gov.uk/STAR or www.midsuffolk.gov.uk/STAR

The results of the survey will be published in the summer. It is the first survey tenants will have received since the authorities integrated their staff, and some of their policies, last year.
