Police have launched an appeal after several reports that two people carried out fake charity collections in Harleston on Monday, June 23.

In four separate incidents, a women in her late teens or early 20s and a girl of around 12 years old knocked on doors and asked for donations for a local charity, without providing identification or a collection tin.

According to a police spokesperson, legitimate charities will always possess documentation to prove that they are a genuine registered organisation.

Anybody with information should contact PC Heather Field at Norfolk Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
