Indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs will be bringing their formidable live set back to Newmarket Nights on July 15.
Their appearance at the course last year saw thousands of fans descended on to the green for undoubtedly one of the highlights of the 2015 summer season.
The Brit Award-winning, multimillion selling band - lead by BBC1’s ‘The Voice’ coach Ricky Wilson - first shot to recognition in 2005 for breakout hit ‘I Predict A Riot’, followed by hits including ‘Oh My God’, ‘Everyday I Love You Less and Less’ and 2007’s #1 ‘Ruby’.
They released their latest LP, ‘Education, Education, Education & War’ in 2014, smashing into the #1 spot on the UK album chart on release.
The record became their second #1 long play, following 2007’s ‘Yours Truly Angry Mob’ and became their fifth top 10 album.
Kaiser Chiefs said: “We can’t wait to headline Newmarket Racecourses and to be a part of the venues 350th anniversary celebrations. Last year’s sell out show was a lot of fun, 2016 will be even better.”
Amy Starkey, regional director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the Kaiser Chief’s back to our Newmarket Night’s stage. They put on such a fantastic performance last year and we have had hundreds of requests to get them back to the racecourse, so its very exciting to have them on the bill for our very special 350th anniversary year.”
