The waiting facilities at Diss rail station are set to be improved thanks to a scheme being carried out by Abellio Greater Anglia.
The work began on Monday and will see an upgrade to both waiting rooms and toilet facilities, due to be completed by the end of the summer.
Improvements include automatic doors, a train departure summary screen and energy-efficient heating, and plug sockets to allow phones and laptops to be charged.
James Steward, Area Customer Service Manager, said: “This is an exciting project for the station which will deliver a much-improved, more comfortable waiting environment for our passengers. Investing in upgrades to stations across the network is extremely important to Abellio Greater Anglia, demonstrating our commitment to providing excellent facilities and service to our customers. I would like to thank customers for their patience while the work is being carried out and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
